It has been 4 months since I started studying in UKM, time passes in a blink of an eye. It also symbolizes the ens of our first semester, which also means end of all our class. But, there is one class which I'm going to miss a lot--the S4 Computer Application.
Some of you may wonder why this class? Why S4?
Well, I have my own reasons. Computer Application class is all a about mastering the all the Microsoft Office, which we will need this skill in the corporate world in the future. That's what I learnt through out this whole semester. Thanks to the lecturer, Mr. Azzwan's patience and guidance, I would say I am starting to master Microsoft office. Mr. Azzwan is very patience in teaching us, he shows us step by step using the projecter, unlike some other lecturers who only show slides. Whenever we have problem, he will teach us right from the start, and teaches us repeatedly till we fully understand. That's how he overcomes the problem with us.
Isn't Computer Application a boring subject?
That's what I thought so when I first heard about this subject. But, it all depends on how the lecturer delivers it to the students. In this case, Mr. Azzwan is very good, he knows how to entertain the whole class. He always has those funny jokes with him that make the whole class laughs. I don't know how he does it, but he is really funny. And that is how he overcomes the boredom in class. I remember when I first enter the class,I was really nervous, but the Mr. Azzwan started some really funny jokes and my nervousness just faded away. He has this favourite quote "WHAT THE..." haha the way he says that is really funny. Now even when I talk to my friends, somehow I will use this. And also, Mr. Azzwan has really intersting blog posts which really attracts people to read them
These are the reasons why I like S4 computer Application so much compare to other class. Next year, I will surely recommend Mr. Azzwan's class to my juniors.

Dong Zhi
This coming 22nd, it will be a very important date for all the Chinese as weare celebrating Dong Zhi @ Winter Solstice Festival @ Tang Yuan Festival. So for this study week, I think there'll be a lot of Chinese students going back to their hometown, including me.
The Dongzhi Festival is also a time for the family to get together. One activity that occurs during these get togethers (especially in the southern parts of China and in Chinese communities overseas) is the making and eating of tangyuan (湯圓) or balls of glutinuous rice, which symbolize reunion. Tangyuan are made of glutinuous rice flour and sometimes brightly coloured. Each family member receives at least one large tangyuan in addition to several small ones. The flour balls may be plain or stuffed. They are cooked in a sweet soup or savoury broth with both the ball and the soup/broth served in one bowl.
This food is halal, so if u guys want to try it, go ahead!
Lab Test 2
Finallyy all the lab tests are done for this semester. Unlike the first one, which is Microsoft Excel and Word, this time it was the one everyone least familiar with--Microsoft Access.
When I first started learning Microsoft Access, it was like a torture as I totally know nothing about it. Not even once I've open it on my laptop. Our lecturer, Mr. Azzwan had to to teach us starting from zero. Thanks to Mr. Azzwan's guidance, bit by bit we learned Tables, Queries, Form, Report and Switchboard Manager. At last, we started to master it slowly. Mr. Azzwan even gave us an beneficial extra class for us before the day of lab test.
On the day of the lab test, I opened the question given by our lecturer. I was scared at first seeing such a long question but after doing slowly, it felt like it was actually easy, maybe it's because the extra class given to us. Even handling the Switchboard Manager wasn't that bad after all Although there were some errors in the question, we still managed to finish it successfully on time.
Thanks to our lecturer's patience and guidance, we finally did it and that's the end of Lab Test 2!

A Song I Like The Most
I really like listening to songs, whenever I'm in my room, I would switch on my laptop and start playing some songs. It feels like I can't do anything without listening to songs, even when I'm sleeping I must listen to songs. I like variety genre of songs English, Korea and especially House music, that's why I went to so many raves before haha. But there's one song which I really like, "Hoobastank - The Reason", especially the lyrics.
I'm not a perfect person
There's many things I wish I didn't do
But I continue learning
I never meant to do those things to you
And so I have to say before I go
That I just want you to know
I've found a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
and the reason is you
I'm sorry that I hurt you
It's something I must live with everyday
And all the pain I put you through
I wish that I could take it all away
And be the one who catches all your tears
Thats why I need you to hear
I've found a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
and the reason is You
and the reason is You [x3]

I've found a reason to show
A side of me you didn't know
A reason for all that I do
And the reason is you

A Person (Nelson Mandela)
Nelson Mandela (1918-2013)
When the title "A Person" was given, without a doubt I thought of that particular person. He is a famous person who passed away recenlty, he is none other than the famous Nelson Mandela. Why I chose to write about Nelson Mandela?? That's because I think he is someone who really changed the world, someone who is really commited in fighting against racism. I even watched a movie called "Invictus" which is about him who played by Morgon Freeman, I almost tear up watching the show. He has sacrificed so much in order to dismantle Apartheid.
Nelson Mandela was a
South African political activist who spent over 20 years in prison for his
opposition to the apartheid regime. He was released in 1990 and, in 1994, was
later elected the first leader of a democratic South Africa. He was awarded the
Nobel Peace Prize in 1993 for his work in helping to end racial segregation in
South Africa. He is considered the father of a democratic South Africa and
widely admired for his ability to bring together a nation, previously divided
by apartheid. Nelson Mandela is one of the most admired political leaders of
the Twentieth and Twenty First Century for his vision to forgive and forge a new
'rainbow' nation.
I really respect Nelson Mandela for his unconditional fight for democracy and against racism.

President Abraham Linclon and John. F. Kennedy Assassination Coincidences
This is another interesting fact that I read on the internet that day. It's about the two infamous assassination of the US Presidents--Lincoln and Kennedy. Don't know whether it's true or not still it gave me goosebumps when I read it. So here it is...
Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.
Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.
The names Lincoln and Kennedy each contain seven letters.
Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.
Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.
Both were shot in the head.
Lincoln's secretary, Kennedy, warned him not to go to the theatre.
Kennedy's secretary, Lincoln, warned him not to go to Dallas.
Both were assassinated by Southerners.
Both were succeeded by Southerners.
Both successors were named Johnson.
Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.
John Wilkes Booth was born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald was born in 1939.
Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are comprised of fifteen letters
Booth ran from the theater and was caught in a warehouse.
Oswald ran from a warehouse and was caught in a theater.
Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.
Grateful
"Be grateful of what you have" this is a sentence we often hear from people who are advising us. I totally agree with this statement. There are a few things which I'm grateful about but the things I'm most grateful about is of course My Family.
I feel very grateful to be born in my family, the Choo's. My family is a loving family where all the family members are very close to each other and thankfully we seldom quarrel. Not only the relationship between my siblings and my parents are good, my auntie and uncle are extremely close to us too. My parents are very lovely people who took good care of us. I'm extremly grateful towards their patience and guidance in educating and for bringing us up. Although my dad is currently working overseas, but what he is doing now is for the sake of the family. I am also grateful that my grandparents love us so much, taking care of me and my siblings since we were born. they are those who really willing to do anything for us.
These are the factors why I am so grateful towards my family. A very grateful thanks to them for being part of my life.

Presentation
11/12/13, it's such a memorable date, and it was a public holiday for the whole Selangor. But not for us, because that day was the day we had to present our assignment. Not only one but two presentations on the same particular day--PowerPoint and Microsoft Access.
So the rule to get the presentation order is first come first serve. Whoever's team arrived first can get to present their group's Powerpoint first. Unfortunately, one of our group member who lives far away from the faculty came last, which means we had to present last. The problem is that there were 10 groups and we are last!! There's nothing much we can do, so we had to wait for our turn. The whole period to wait for our turn was like a torture as we were really nervous.
After 2 1/2 hours of waiting, finally it;s our turn. We divided the slides among ourselves and we presented 1 by 1. During my turn. I somehow got really nervous and it felt like i can't even talk. We ended our presentation after around 10mins, then I felt really relieved. After finishing the PowerPoint presentation, we took a for lunch.
We continued our Microsoft Access presentation after the break, this time we got lucky a bit. We were the second group to present our work. Then, our lecturer gave us some useful comments and corrections on our work. It was totally a hard work paid off because me and my friend, John worked on it till late night.
Well, I would say that the presentation did go quite well as it's our first time presenting formally in university. Thanks to the group members and our lecturer, Encik Azzwan for the guidance.

Snowing in Unexpected Places
Significant signs have shown that the weather in the
globe is changing day by day. One the most recent one was “SNOWING”. It has
been such a big news that unexpected places are starting to snow. I’m not good
with geography, but one thing I do know is that these countries DO NOT SNOW.
I was surprised when I read the news about
snow fall in Vietnam, I thought it was only a myth, but it’s true and proven
with a video. The snow was experience in the province of LAO CAI, Vietnam. I
thought it’s impossible to a tropical country to snow. Snowfall in Sa Pa town
in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai, which began Sunday, has caused
serious damage to farms. According to the town’s Department of Agriculture and
Rural Development, 100 hectares of chayote and another 100 hectares of
flowers were destroyed’. It’s nice to have a snow at first (most especially
when you doesn't experience yet to see a snow, but in a tropical
country to have a snow it’s crucial, why? Residents in a tropical country will
not get use to its coldness, wheels of cars design doesn't fit on slippery
snowy roads. This is really bad and may cause serious accidents.
Not only in Vietnam but also in Egypt, Palestine and
Israel experience a snow fall. Aren’t this places are supposed to be hot??
Imagine what has happened to our climate. Our climate is getting worst. We need
to be serious about this issue.
Although the cause and effect of snowing is bad, but I still do wish that somehow Malaysia will experience snowfall one day. I’ve been to overseas with winter but not even once I got to experience a snowfall. So yea, I really hope to see snow.

The 34th Pesta Tanglung UKM
When I first came to UKM, a lot of people approached me to join them to get involve in Pesta Tanglung UKM. I was like 'Why??", and then they told me that PT UKM is one of the most prestigious event in UKM and it is very historical as it has been in UKM for the past 34 years.
At first I rejected them without thinking, who wants to make themselves busy when they can choose not to. I totally ignored them. But, as time passes, I found that most of my friends are AJKs in PT, and the looked like they are having a lot of fun. So to avoid being isolated from others, I decided to join back my group--Technical group.
After months of preparations, finally PT UKM is around the corner. So 3 days before the event, all the AJKs were asked to be at DECTAR to help out with the final touches. I guess those 3 days were the days where most of the Chinese were absent for their class. Those 3 days was just pure busy, there were so many things to do, stage, decorations and of course technical stuffs. We had to stay in DECTAR from early in the morning till 11pm. Due to it's a sketch performance so during these 3 days, we saw the whole stage performances' rehearsal. The thing is that I've already watched the sketch numerous times, but without fail, it just made me teary every time I watch. Honestly, the sketch was amazingly perfect!!
On the day of PT UKM, my group members were given their jobs respectively. I was assigned to be one of the photographer for the night, so I actually have all access to everywhere.
At around 7.30pm, there were at least 3000 audiences in DECTAR! I was surprised and it was out of my expectation. At that time, I finally realised why PT is such a grand event in UKM.
The event officially started at 8pm, first were some speeches from the Datuks. Then, the main performance that everyone has been waiting for--the sketch began. I was running around the whole Dectar snapping photos, hoping to get the best shot.
The sketch lasted for around 1 1/2 hours. And at the end of the show, while I was busy shooting, I saw there were quite a few people breaking into tears(yea that's how good it was). I even saw a mother hugging her child crying, reflecting to the sketch's theme--FAMILY. That moment was the moment I felt so proud being a part of the team to deliver such an amazing performance.
After everything finished, everyone looked so happy and relieved, all of them were celebrating and congratulating each other.

So the irony is that I think I made a good decision joinig PT as I can now tell others how amazing this event was. And once again, HATS OFF TO EVERYONE WHO INVOLVED!!

SUKEM 2013
When I first started studying in UKM, everyone found out that I was a squash player during my schooling days, then I was asked to take part in SUKEM to represent my college. I was freaking out cause this will be my first tournament after MORE THAN 4 YEARS!! It's been that long since I stopped squash due to my ankle injury and studies. Worse still, my last competitive game was like ages ago!
When I was asked to play in SUKEM, I doubted that I can win anything but still I agreed because I thought if I start training back, maybe I might get back the touch. But it turns out, I've only been to the courts once during that period due to I was busying with my MidSem. I doubted that I can even play.
On the competition day, there were around 24 boys and around 12 girls playing. When I saw the draw,I was really shocked and felt that I was lucky to be given the third seed! (Higher seed will meet Lower seeded player in the first round).
Squash in UKM is an open tournament so for my first game, I met an uncle, probably 20 years older than me, he was quite good and he gave me some fight but thankfully I still won the game 3-0. Then for my second round, I met with a third year senior. He is a really good player, as he is taller, skinnier and faster than me. It was a freaking tough match, each and every game we reached to the deuce point. Although I won the match with 3-0, but the set score was 13-11, 17-15, 14-12 (normal score is until 11). Phew that was a close call! The moment has arrived, I'm through into the semis, pressure arose and I was drained out like a dead fish, but still I have to face UKM no.2 Airee Afiq. I walked into into the court without any confidence. We started warming up by hitting the ball, and suddenly to make matter worse "PLUCK!", my string's broken. At that time I couldn't find any racquet similar to mine which I'm already use to it, without any options I borrwed my friend's racquet. The first 2 sets were just bad, I can't even control the ball but fortunately, during the 3rd set I started getting use to the racquet and I fought back to win it. In the fourth set, my lungs gave out and I lost the match. Later on I won my second semis to secure my bronze medal.
I would say this tournament is just the beginning, as I have to continue playing for university for the coming days. So it's time to train up!

Responsibility
When it comes to responsibility, this is something I feel that I'm really lacked of. Everytime when I was given a task, I would drag and procrastinate for a period of time until I forget they even exist. Then, I always do them in the last minute. Responsibility is a value that hardly everyone can fulfill everyday, it's possible though, it all depends whether if you wanna do it. WHAT IS RESPONSIBILITY??
According to a dictionary, responsibility is "the state or fact of having a duty to deal with something or of having control over someone." When there's a given duty or task, responsibility is what we need to accomplish them. Responsibility requires us to recognize that what we do and what we don’t do matters and that we are responsible for the consequences of our choices.

Responsibility
reaches far and wide – maybe into areas of our life that we haven't considered.
Being responsible is more than just doing what you are supposed to do.
Responsibility also includes:
Be
accountable – for what you do and do not do
Exercise
self-control – take charge of your own life
Plan and
set goals – identify what success means to you and plan to achieve them
Choose
positive attitudes – choose to be enthusiastic and optimistic
Do your
duty – always accomplish the given duty
Blog Critic Session
Few days ago, our lecturer had a blog critic session where he and a few seniors came to our class to judge about our blog. We were asked to show our respective blogs in front of our class using projector. Then, sir and a few seniors sat at the back of the class to give some advice and reviews on our blogs. I was freaking nervous that time cause I've not been actively publishing posts, I've even left out a few given title.
After all my friends' blogs have been reviewed, finally it's my turn. Just like expected, it was quite bad as my blog's design like the layout, templates, fonts, colour....were all being criticized. It's learnt that my blog's colour combination is really bad. And of course the worst--the number of posts I've written, it's way too far from the optimum number of posts.
After this session, it's time to do some changes to my blog. I have to find a much more suitable theme for my blog and catch up with the number of posts.

End Of Mid-Sem Exams!
Phew!! After having one of the toughest week in UKM, the mid-sem exam is finally over! I consider it as the toughest week because I had 4 papers in 1 week. The torture comes when the paper are just 2 days interval, which also means there is no rest for me at all. I had to consistently study 4 different subjects, as soon as one subject finishes, and I had to focus on the next one.
Well, it's finished, enough said. Just when I think I can have some time to relax a bit, here comes the assignments, projects, activities, sukem and bla bla bla...It seems like it's never ending. And in approximately one month, exams again--the Finals, is just that this is much more important. HAIZZZ...

Honesty In Marriage
Admit it guys, Honesty is one of the hardest thing to practice on this planet. Literally there is nobody that didn't even lie in their entire life. Especially in marriage, honesty is a value that married must imply in their daily life. It is so important that if honesty is missing in a married couple, it could cause a divorce. Apparently, most of the marriages have been broken was due to the lack of honesty.
Sometimes what you and your spouse need in order to have a
passionate marriage is a good, healthy dose of truth. Nothing says distance and
dis-ease in a marriage like hidden truth, betrayal, and a lack of trust.
When it comes to marriage, secrets can cause real problems.
Whether a spouse knows or not, hidden truth that the spouse should know about
can spread through a marriage like a cancer. There are lies or secrets that a
spouse suspects may be existent and there are lies that are totally unknown,
but should be settled up.
If you're the one doing the hiding and you just don't know
how to come clean, first make sure you are right with God. Confess to Him what
you have done and turn your life of sin over to Him in turn for receiving new
life in Christ.
If you are at a place where you are torn inside and your
heart aches that you have been hiding important facts or activities from your
spouse, I suspect that you have already sought forgiveness from God, but that's
where you start. By seeking God and being honest before Him, and receiving His
grace, you can ask for Him to prepare your spouse's heart and mind for what you
are going to tell him or her.
Marriage
So the title today is "Marriage", Hmmm...I can"t really comment on this as I'm still a young student and of course I have no experience in this before. But, I do know some basic ways to maintain the married relationship between the couples. These are a few points which I think it's crucial for couples to do in order to maintain a happy married life.
One of our strengths has always been working well together. When the twins were born we had twice as many dirty diapers, dishes, bottles and chaos in addiction to our 2 year old and 4 year old. If we didn’t learn to help each other and work together we would have never moved forward. To this day we can still count on each. No burden is too heavy when shared.
2. Remind yourselves often what you love about each other.
When
I’m folding my husband’s clothes I reflect on his work ethic, patience,
strength and generosity. I smile as I remember his jokes and his quirky humor.
I’m amazed at the relationships he has grown and nurtured with our adult daughters.
When you spend time reflecting on the good qualities of your spouse, your love,
affection, adoration for each other will grow.
3. Be interested in and share each other’s world.
Be in touch
with each others lives. Stay connected when you are apart. We have always
checked in with each other then we’ve been apart. When the girls were in
elementary school I went to college. When the girls were in high school, I went
to grad school. Through out it all we stayed in touch with each other. Today
it’s easier than ever with email, texting and cell phones. To this day Roger
calls me at noon just to check-in.
4. Maintain a fundamental belief that your spouse is worthy of
honor and respect.
Never put each other down. Be kind to each other. Watch your
tone of voice when you are frustrated with each other. Learn to sing each
other’s praises. Build trust by always telling the truth. Let go of
expectations. Practice accepting each other in the present moment. We didn’t
know how to do this for the first 10 years. When I thought things couldn’t get
any worse we decided to find a therapist and seek help. This was in the early
80′s; we paid $50 out of pocket, paid a babysitter and drove 45 minutes weekly
for six months. What we learned changed our relationship forever.
5. Be there when you are needed during the insignificant
moments of life
For example, picking up groceries, helping with the dishes,
filling a car with gas, paying bills and communicating in the car. These sacred
moments and gestures are the heart and soul of your relationship. Make these
events count. The little things you do to connect emotionally add up and get
you through difficult days, sickness and other life transitions.
Saw this a few days ago, although it's a prank, this is just an example of what happens when the couples do not believe in each other.

Aeroplane Reappeared After Missing For 47 Years
Found this interesting mystery so I decided to post and
share it out…
In 1946 a Lockheed Constellation went missing from a
flight from Rio de Janeiro in Havanna. The plane landed in December 1993, at
the Bogota airport in Colombia. The plane came in totally unannounced, and
almost came into collision with another airplane whilst landing. Security went
to the scene, and made a stunning discovery: On board there were 36 skeletons.
How could a plane that went missing in 1946 reappear
in 1993, make a safe landing, to find that all crew and passengers were nothing
more than skeletons?
"the greatest mystery in the history of flight.
A mystery that has become greater, since it is old Lockheed Constellation
aircraft which flew in 1946 and on board which were found in 1993, landing, hot
cup of coffee and lit cigarettes Old Gold brand , long extinct. The passenger
seats were newspapers on the day of 21/09/1946, which were yellowed by time and
still smelled of print."
The coffee was still hot, the papers were marked
21/09/1946!!

Relationship Before Marriage
Nowadays, we often hear in the news that celebrities who got married not long ago are divorcing. That doesn't only happen in the entertainment world but happens in each and every part of the world. And this causes the divorcing rate to increase rapidly every year. Everything happen for a reason, in this case, that would be the relationship before marriage. To be honest, I'm not quite sure about what are the relationships before marriage, maybe because I've never been to one, so I kinda googled it out. So these are the things that couples should DO AND DON'T:
DO: Make sure you can resolve conflicts, feeling
closer to your partner. All couples argue, but happier couples end up feeling
closer and more understood after an argument. Make sure you understand each
other’s way of dealing with anger, and that you are comfortable with it.
Don’t: Expect that your partner is going to change
and learn conflict resolution after marriage.
If your partner is a bad communicator and uncomfortable with conflict or
anger prior to marriage, it is not going to change after marriage.
Do: Talk about sex and intimacy openly. Prior to
marriage your partner and you should be able to have a discussion about sex and
intimacy without feeling anger, shame or indifference.
Don’t: Expect that if your partner is addicted to
porn or flirting, or lacks sexual boundaries prior to marriage, that it will
change after marriage. Don’t expect a partner to all of a sudden become more
sexual after marriage if they lack interest prior to marriage.
Do: Talk about money, saving, and a financial plan
for your marriage. A joint checking and savings account is wise because it
lends itself to working together for the same goal. A monthly money discussion is a priority for
married couples.
Don't: Go into marriage not knowing one another’s
spending pattern. Your partner is not going to change after marriage. If they
are irresponsible with making money, spending money and saving money prior
marriage, it is going to be difficult and I would step back before saying “I
Do.”

Life In UKM
Well, time flies and I've been in UKM for almost 2 months already. I'm starting to adapt to the university life and learning to be more freedom. I would say I have some bitter sweet experiences. In these past 2 months, I've met a lot of new friends both from my college and from my faculty, all were great people although many are from different backgrounds and races. The seniors are friendly and amazing, guiding me step by step cause I was so blur and didn't know what to do when I first got in. Not to forget my lecturers, they are very friendly but some are teaching a bit too fast though.
From the first week, we were forced to sleep at 2.30am and waking up at 5.30am everyday, due to the all-day long activities from Minggu Mesra Pelajar. When we ask some of our seniors, do we have to do this every week? they sincerely said "No". But, the torture continues for the next 2 weeks cause the activities in the college were just too darn a lot! Plus, we had internet problems on the second week; water crisis for the third week; then we even had electricity problems (wow!). All these just seriously mind blown me. When it comes to studies, basically every class is like a race. Some lecturers are literally flying in the 3 hours class, 1 chapter per day, my god! So there are really a lot to do to cope up with the lecturer.
And these are my few bitter sweet experiences from the past 2 months I had in UKM. I hope it would be a lot easier and less stressful for the upcoming days. Please let me enjoy my uni lfe!!

Importance of Electricity
During my third or fourth week in UKM, disaster
struck--the whole was out of electricity!! It wasn't any ordinary blackout that
last for only few hours, this blackout lasted for days. Some faculties like FEP
didn't have any electricity for days and has interrupted our class causing a
few classes to be postponed. Fortunately, our college has to bear this torture
only for a few hours but other colleagues were just bad. During that period of
time only I stressful thought arose like "How am I supposed to charge my
phone and laptop? and "how am I gonna stay here tonight?"
Then only I realised the importance of
electricity...
Electricity is the key component to modern
technology and without it most of the things that we use every day simply could
not work, and would never have bee n created. Our mobile phones, our computers,
the Internet, our heating systems, our televisions, our light bulbs - nearly
everything in the home would be completely different. There would be completely
different systems put in place in the home to ensure that we can remain warm,
and to ensure that we can live properly every day.
Imagine how
different things would be today without the Internet. The World Wide Web has
had a huge effect on our lives. It has made everybody more aware of the world
they live in, and it’s allowed them to learn about our surroundings and know
more about how near enough everything within modern society works. It is our
gateway for knowledge, and allows us to find out nearly anything within a
matter of seconds, hence, electricity has made us an incredibly intelligent and
aware society.
It’s also allowed us to become healthier. Without
electricity, hospital equipments would not work like the X-ray. Electricity,
can saves lives and allows people to live longer. So not only are we are more
aware and intelligent society but we have become much healthier.

Social Media
I'm sure almost everyone in this world have their own social media profiles, especially teenagers nowadays. But, I have a friend who doesn't have any not even facebook, well he's one of a kind. With the increasing of various models of smartphones, social media is getting more and more popular among people. Social media somehow became a necessary for people. When one talks bout social media, the most commonly heard will be Facebook. Of course, they are numerous types of social medias include the famous ones like Twitter, Instagram, Foursquare and Blog. I personally like these few maybe because I have often use them.
Although, everyone is directly involve with social medias, they have pros and cons within them...
Although, everyone is directly involve with social medias, they have pros and cons within them...
PROS
Allow people to stay connected
Having social medias allow people to stay connected among their friends and the world. Through social medias, people can connect with their friends who are staying at some other parts of the world far away from them. Like Facebook, it allows users to chat with family and friends within clicks away, all they have to is just type and send. Messages or information will be sent within seconds no matter where you are at.
Advertisement for business
Other than allowing people to stay connected, social medias also allow entrepreneur to market their products online. Businessmen can open their own page to market and sell their products on social medias like Facebook, after all it's all free! Users can also share posts and pages to their friends, and this is one of the most effective way of promoting products. Even the process of selling and buying is so much more convenient because everything is online.
CONS
Face-to-face Communication Skills Endangered
Increasing popularity of social medias has made people using them as a medium of communication. Although it is the fastest way to have a conversation, over-using them may neglect face-to-face communication. This can be seen when younger generation are now lack of communication skills.

Vulnerable to Hacking
Since there are so many people using social medias, so hackers have their attention on these users to breach their privacy. They can hack into accounts to steal private information of corporate companies. Some can read private conversations between users, then they spread it out on the internet. Some even send virus links to people, those who are not aware will accidentally press on it, and that might be the end of their computer.

TIESTO'S RAVE PARTY
Tiesto, one of the greatest DJ of all time, and he didn't disappoint me at all when came to Kuala Lumpur for the second.time. Few years back, when he was still the world No.1 DJ, he came to Malaysia for the Thirst event. I regretted cause I missed out Tiesto in action back then, it was all because of my exam. This year, he just released his brand new album called "Club Life: Volume 3". His brand new mixes was so good, he decided make a world tour featuring all his new tracks. And on 5th of October, it's Malaysia's turn, of course, I wouldn't let this chance slip away like what happened few years ago, so I bought the ticket.
Although the ticket costs around RM150, I didn't regret getting it. His mixes were so good, all his songs have such great drops, everyone just went MAD!
The shows starts at 7.30pm, but Tiesto's set was only starting at 12am, so before his set some other DJs took turns to spin on the stage. That include Malaysia's well know DJ duo, Goldfish & Blink and some other Djs from overseas like Danny Avilla. Too bad I missed out Goldfish & Blink, there were too many people rushing in, it took us at least 1 hour just to get ourselves into Sepang Circuit.
Then, when it reaches 12am, it was Tiesto's turn. During that time, the total attendance was reaching up to 20k, it was so crowded and the people were just crazy. Me and my friends were just standing right in front of the stage and speakers were mad. I can literally feel my leg's hair bouncing off when the beats drop.
He played most of his songs from the new album like "Take Me", "I Love It", and of course his famous tracks from the past like "Maximal Crazy". He even played various kinds of genre that night like Trance, Trap, House and Hardstyle. And that's why no doubt he is one of the best Dj in the world.
After plating and mixing for 2 hours, Tiesto's set came to and end at around 2am. Everyone was so exhausted and dehydrated, some even straight away lay down on the floor.
It was an extremely tired night and I only got home at 5am, I feel it was all totally worth it as long as I enjoyed the night.
Thank You Tiesto!!

The Blog That Inspired me
I knew the existence of blogs quite a long time ago but I've never been interested in getting one for myself. Instead of getting one, I often read some other peoples blogs and there are some which are really interesting till you cant stop reading them. Like other guys, things get interesting when it comes to technology or cars, so blogs about these things are more to my type.
There's one blog which I like the most and at the same time inspire me the most. And there's none other than PaulTan Automotive News. (http://paultan.org/).
Paul Tan, he is a Malaysian blogger. He is an automotive journalist who writes about cars and the automotive industry in his blog. It is known that the term paultan is the second most frequently searched person on Google by Malaysian Google users, according to Google's 2007 Malaysia Year-End Zeitgeist.
What I like about his blog is definitely because it's all about cars, of course. The news he posted on his blog were always first-handed and exclusive, it's literally like he's the first person to get to know the news first. I can imagine the hardwork and effort he has given in commiting to his blog. On the other hand, I feel that he is someone who is unbiased in his work. He provides news from Proton to Bentley, no matter how expensive or how luxurious the cars are. He doesn't hide nor criticise other brands' cars.
So this is how Paul Tan inspire me on writing blogs, I hope he continues on writing great posts and news in the future.

SQUASH-ing!!
I was involve in squash starting since year 3 also at the age of 9. If you ask me how I get involve in this sport that few would learn to play, I would say I joined them in the"buta-buta" way. During that time, the school made it compulsory for students to have co-curriculum activities. As you can see I was just 9 years old, and I was told that there's a sport called squash, so what I did was just put my name in it! Then, my siblings were all involved in this game. And that's how we involved in squash for the next few years. After playing for a few years, I started representing my state in squash tournaments (it was just luck and I'm not that good), I've been to numerous of states to participate in tournaments and my brother even crossed the international border to paricipate in Hong Kong Open.
Now, I'm going to explain briefly about the rules of the game cause this is a sport few will know.
Some informations are collected from some squash sites.

Now, I'm going to explain briefly about the rules of the game cause this is a sport few will know.
Some informations are collected from some squash sites.
Squash Rules
The basic rules of squash are fairly simple. First the player spins his/ her raquet, the winner gets to choose which side they want to serve from and
alternates sides until they lose a point. The "spinning" is basically spinning the racquet, with one player guessing whether the racquet will land up
or down based on the direction of the logo at the end of the grip. The ball can
hit any number of walls ( i.e sidewall, backwall ) but must eventually hit the
front wall before bouncing on the floor. A rally ( the exchange of shots ) ends
when one of the following occurs:
- The ball bounces twice
- The ball hits the tin
- The ball is hit outside the out lines
Interference resulting in a stroke, i.e. point to the
obstructed player.
The serve is done by having at least one foot in the service
box, then hitting the ball to the front wall, above the service line and having
it bounce in the opposite quarter-court. The receiver can stand anywhere as
long as they do not interfere with the server. Only one serve is allowed. There
is no second serve as in tennis.
Your opponent has the option of volleying return your serve
before it hits the ground. After hitting the front wall first, the ball may hit
any other number of walls before landing in the opponent’s quarter court.
However, a serve is illegal if it hits any sidewall before hitting the front
wall! Following the serve, the ball can hit any number of sidewalls before
hitting the front wall.
The red lines mark the out of bounds of the court. So all
shots must be below the lines. If the ball touches the line it is considered
out!
Scoring is to 11 , where every rally
is a point, regardless of who served. So if you serve and lose the rally, then
your opponents get a point and gets to serve. The professionals play best of
five games ,scoring to 11. Where the score reaches ten all, the game will
be won by two clear points (which will be expressed as 11-10, irrespective of
the actual score ).
Some not-so-obvious rules of squash are you can not carry
the ball or hit the ball twice, but you can make several attempts at striking
the ball as long as only contact is made once.
These are some quick briefings about the squash game, some may feel that it's a boring sport but once u play, no doubt you will get addicted to it. Plus, now we have a current Women's World Champion, Datuk Nicol Ann David, and I hope squash can be a popular sports among the people like badminton or football.

If I'm The Ruler Of The World
No doubt every human dreamed of being "The Ruler of The World", having the power of demanding what they want, having the authority manage the entire world under their command. Like everybody, I once dreamed of being the ruler and there are a few things I would like to do if I successfully become one.
Firstly, I would try my best to demolish the racial issue among the people. In my opinion, although steps are being taken to prevent racism like anti-racism pragrammes, I kinda feel that all these are actually a failure. As we can see, the most obvious angle is in the sports field. We often hear the news that players got bullied by fans using racist chants, gestures and some even physically hurting them. They dont deserve the these just because of their skin colour is different from others. I shall launch much more effective campaigns and programmes to prevent racism. I might even introduce some stricter rules and punishments to racist people.
Second, I would like to control and decrease the prices of everything in this world. In the past few years, prices had only been increasing and not decreasing, this causes the cost of living keeps on increasing. Not everyone in this world can afford and sustain this king of living, not everyone can earn thousands in a month. This has just doubled up the crime rate like robbery, kidnapping and etc. In this case, if I'm the ruler of the world I would set a maximum price range for all the items in the world, if possible. I would even set higher tax rates for the rich and lower tax rates for the poor. Then, I would use this sum of money trying to balance the gap difference between them.
The things that I would do if I'm the ruler are basically for the peace of the world. Even though some might be impossible, but I will still try my best to fulfill them.

My Self-Intro...
EAT, SLEEP, RAVE AND REPEAT. Well, that was my moto and what I actually hope to have, but after entering into UKM, I guess I have to change it to " (EAT, SLEEP, RAVE AND REAPEAT)+STUDY". Everybody here in UKM are just too smart and I'm afraid I might have a hard time in catching up.
So, my name is Dennis Choo Jia Shen and no, I'm not a Christian but a pure Buddist Chinese. My English name was given by my parents just to make me literally "different" from others haha. I'm from Seremban, which i think it's a city famous for nothing compare to other cities. And of course it's an extremely boring place to stay. I have 4 siblings including myself and I'm the second child in the family. The eldest sibling is Karyn Choo aged 21 and currently studying law in ATC. Third child will be my brother Daryl Choo 18 who is still studying Form 6 as well. Last is my youngest sister Carmen Choo who will be sitting for her PMR examination soon.
Choo Chee Yuen, that is my Dad's who just celebrated his 50th birthday. His occupation is a businessman and he started developing his business in Cambodia two years ago. So he is now currenty staying there but he comes back every 2 months though. My mom Ong Lai Foon, she is just 1 year younger than my dad. She is a housewife which I consider is a professional job.
Ok now, back to myself. I'm 20 this year which also means I took STPM in SMK KGV during the year 2012. I would say the result was quite satisfying and lucky. I spent my primary era in a Chinese school named SJK (C) Kuo Min then I went to SMK Seremban 2 to finish my PMR. During Form 4, I transferred to a English school , SMK St. Paul. Although I'm a Chinese and studied in a Chinese school but my Chinese is just really bad due to years of not practicing it.
My hobby is umm... watching television, perhaps. Yea I know it's kinda lame "hobby". I watch all kinds of shows as long as they are shows but my favourites are definitely the Korean variety shows, they can just make you laugh till u drop especially Running Man! But everyone have different taste though. Have you heard of How I Met Your Mother?? yea they are my favourite too. So overall I like funny shows not sad and emo ones. In sports, I play squash and I played for my state for a period of time but I'm don't think I"m really that good compare to others. I stopped practiscing squash for quite a long time, I think I last trained was in year 2009. Since coming to UKM, I guess I have to start practicing cause they are asking me to play for the university. I often listen to EDM, just in case you don't know what's that, it's Electronic Dance Music played by DJs. Hardwell would be my idol, you can try to search for his songs on youtube. And the 'rave' I mentioned is when a dj comes for a concert. The beats, the base...I just love them and sometimes I listen to some k-pop too, they are quite catchy though.
So, this is a tiny introduction of me and it's my first time writing a blog. I'm required to write two posts weekly but i have doubts in myself for the consistency so let's just hope I'll be able to accomplish this task.
